Anti‑wrinkle injections in North Yorkshire
Softening Lines. Preserving Natural Expression.
As we age, everyday facial movements – smiling, frowning, laughing and squinting – can gradually lead to fine lines and deeper wrinkles. Anti‑wrinkle injections are designed to gently soften these dynamic lines, helping you look fresher and more rested, while still looking like yourself.
At Lois Daisy Aesthetics, all anti‑wrinkle treatments are carried out in a calm, medically led setting. As an Independent Nurse Prescriber with over 10 years’ experience in aesthetics, I prioritise your safety and skin health above everything else. Every treatment is tailored to your unique facial anatomy, so results are subtle, natural‑looking and never “done” or frozen.
Based in North Yorkshire, I offer anti‑wrinkle injections from my pop‑up clinics including Thirsk, with more locations to come.

Anti‑wrinkle injections use a purified protein (often known by brand names such as “Botox”) to temporarily relax specific muscles responsible for creating lines and wrinkles. By reducing the strength of these muscle movements, the overlying skin can appear smoother and more relaxed.
Common treatment areas include:
Frown lines between the brows
Forehead lines
Crow’s feet around the eyes
Bunny lines at the top of the nose
Chin dimpling
Softening a down‑turned mouth or gummy smile (in suitable cases)
Treatment is quick, with minimal downtime, and results develop gradually over the following 1–2 weeks.
By gently reducing muscle activity in targeted areas, this treatment allows the overlying skin to rest and recover, resulting in a beautifully smooth, relaxed, and rejuvenated complexion.
This treatment is most commonly used to gently soften:
Forehead Lines: The horizontal lines that appear when raising the eyebrows.
Frown Lines: The vertical lines (often called '11s') that form between the eyebrows.
Crow’s Feet: The delicate, fine lines that radiate from the outer corners of the eyes.
As an experienced Nurse Prescriber, my philosophy is always "less is more." The goal is never to freeze your features or remove your unique character, but rather to elegantly soften lines while preserving your natural, beautiful facial expressions.

Whenever you frown, squint or raise your eyebrows, your facial muscles contract and fold the skin. Over time, these repeated movements create lines that can remain visible even when your face is at rest.
Anti‑wrinkle injections work by:
Targeting specific muscles
Very small amounts of the wrinkle‑relaxing product are injected into carefully chosen muscles.Interrupting the signal
The product temporarily blocks the nerve signals that tell those muscles to contract as strongly.Softening the movement
With less intense contraction, the skin above has a chance to smooth out, softening existing lines and helping to prevent new ones from becoming deeply etched.
The effect usually lasts around 3–4 months, depending on your individual response, lifestyle and muscle strength. Many patients choose regular maintenance treatments to support long‑term, “ageing well” results.

Anti‑wrinkle injections may be suitable if:
You’re bothered by frown lines, forehead lines or crow’s feet
You feel you look tired, cross or less “like you” than you’d like
You want a soft, refreshed look rather than a dramatic change
You’d like to take a preventative approach to visible ageing
You will need to be:
Over 18
Medically suitable following a full consultation and medical history
Not pregnant or breastfeeding
During your consultation, I’ll assess your skin, facial movement, medical history and treatment expectations. We’ll discuss what is realistically achievable and whether anti‑wrinkle injections are the right option for you, or whether another treatment – or no treatment at all – would be safer or more appropriate.
My approach as a skin nurseSafety and honesty first
With a background in both dermatology and aesthetics, I always look at the ageing process holistically. Anti‑wrinkle injections are never treated as a quick fix. Instead, they are one tool within a broader plan for skin health and ageing well.
I will always be honest about what I think will and won’t suit you.
I do not aim for a frozen look or over‑treated faces.
If I feel a treatment is not in your best interests, I will explain why and discuss alternatives.
Bespoke, natural‑looking results
Every face, muscle pattern and skin history is different, so your treatment should be too. I:
Carefully map your facial muscles and expressions
Start with conservative doses, especially if you’re new to treatment
Focus on softening lines while preserving your natural expressions
My aim is that friends and colleagues notice you look rested, well and quietly refreshed, not that they can tell you’ve “had work done”.
